Explore the Antonia Technique, a therapy combining massage, color, sound, and energy work. This approach focuses on physical support, emotional balance, and energetic awareness through a layered, sensory experience.
A Gentle Approach to Holistic Healing
The Antonia Technique, developed in 1997, is a therapy that combines massage with sensory and symbolic work. It integrates color, sound, and symbols to create a nurturing experience for the body and mind. Sessions often begin with a conversation between the practitioner and the client, exploring personal challenges or areas of tension before moving into treatment.

Personalized Energy Work
Clients select symbolic cards at the start of the session. These symbols may be incorporated into the massage to anchor intention and awareness in the body. This element allows each treatment to reflect the individual’s unique needs and energy at that time.

Reading the Body’s Energy
Dowsing rods, made of copper or steel, are used to assess the client’s energy centers, or chakras. Open, balanced energy causes the rods to widen, while blocked or misaligned energy produces different movements. Comparing readings before and after the session provides a visual representation of energetic changes.

Preparing the Space
The treatment environment is carefully arranged, with the room cleared and balanced. Candles representing the four archangels are often placed in each direction. This preparation is meant to create a calm, focused atmosphere for the session.
The Role of Sound and Emotional Release
Sound is incorporated using a resonant instrument placed along the spine. Gentle tones vibrate through the body, complementing the massage and supporting the release of stored tension or past experiences, especially in the back. The session concludes with subtle work on the face and ears, leaving the client in a quiet, reflective state.

Three Layers of Massage
The massage unfolds in three stages: the physical, emotional, and higher self layers. Colors aligned with the seven chakras are used in the first stage to support the physical body. The second stage reverses the color sequence for emotional balance, and the third stage uses twelve colors to connect with the intuitive or higher self. Each stage adjusts pressure and intention according to the focus of that layer.
