The Gardener – Season 5
In the final episode of this season of The Gardener, we look back at some of the stunning gardens that Tanya visited, looking at the landscaping work and design features that make them havens of green beauty. We also revisit some of the more unusual or interesting plants that Tanya found in these gardens, and find out how you can grow them too. And, lastly, we take a look at some of the DIY projects that Tanya tackled along the way.
Episode 8
In this week’s episode of The Gardener, Tanya visits a Balinese-inspired garden created by award winning landscape designer Jan Bloc. Tanya will take you on a tour of this wonderful garden, looking at its special design features and fantastic plants. And then, later in the show, Tanya will prove to you that you never need to buy another pot for your garden again. In just a few easy steps, she creates fabulous pots using cement and Peat.

In this week’s episode of The Gardener, Tanya visits a unique garden in the South of Johannesburg where she finds not only great plants, stunning water features and incredible design ideas, but also a nine-hole mini-golf course and a beach volleyball court. And for those who want to try their hands at a great DIY project, Tanya shows you how to create stylish and modern floating steps using cement.

Today on The Gardener Tanya visits a garden on the far north of the KZN coastline. The owner has lived on this old farm since the 1940’s and has spent years creating a stunning garden filled with massive indigenous trees, hedges and flowers. Later in the show Tanya demonstrates the process of laying and grouting pavers so you can pave any part of your garden like a pro.

In this episode of The Gardener Tanya visits a stately home in the Hillcrest region of KZN where the homeowner has spent many years creating the perfect garden. Filled with Roses, indigenous ferns, sprawling lawns and a truly amazing Koi pond, this Garden has something for everyone. After that, Tanya shows you how easy it is to create your very own Koi pond that you can put into your garden to add interest and character.

In this week’s episode of The Gardener, Tanya Visser visits the garden of Landscaper Ben Botha where she discovers an amazing space filled with hundreds of varieties of aloes and succulents. From massive indigenous aloes towering 20 feet in the air, to fully grown miniatures only a few centimeters tall, this garden has some truly fascinating plants. Later in the show, Tanya demonstrates how easy it is to create your own pavers using a little cement and some creativity.
