Now he comes home to New Zealand to build his own slice of paradise. A man of principle and taste, JK embarks on one of his biggest challenges, turning his old family holiday home into his dream home. But from the very start, nothing quite goes to plan. A remodel quickly becomes a complete teardown, and emotions run high as bulldozers rip through the old family home where his family grows up. One of New Zealand’s foremost architects puts plans in place for an eco-friendly home by the sea, and the 6-month project turns into 18 months when Covid stops the build in its tracks.
