South African home design and architecture has truly come into its own; bland imitations have made way for modern masterpieces and character-filled design. The Home Channel, DStv channel 176, brings you a brand-new season of Finest Homes, where we explore these creations, talking to the visionaries who are bringing them to life, as well as the people who live in them. Journey with us as we are taken through the spaces, showcasing architecture, interior design, and landscape design; discover valuable tips and ideas offered up by local experts, and recreate some of these looks in your own home.

We’re visiting a magnificent property on the southern slopes of Table Mountain. A house designed to compliment, instead of compete with its natural surroundings, we speak to interior designer Liam Mooney and landscape designer Carrie Latimer, about their roles in bringing this project to life.

We visit a house in Clifton that is nestled into the mountain, while enjoying spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean. It’s a house that was designed with understanding and foresight, making the most of every square meter.

We’re visiting a house in a tree-lined estate in Somerset West. A project that required less kitchens, more bedrooms, and a general update to the interior design. The creatives called in to transform and elevate the space was interior design studio, The Mood Collectives.
