Stacked Caprese Salad

Stacked Caprese Salad with Basil pesto


  • Buffalo Mozzarella Cheese
  • Fresh Basil
  • Tomatoes
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Fresh Basil Pesto


  1. Dice the Tomatoes and Mozzarella cheese into small blocks
  2. Placing a food ring on a side plate, start stacking the chopped tomatoes and mozzarella cheese into alternating layers
  3. Make sure to compress each layer as much as possible, forcing the tomatoes and Mozzarella cheese to adapt to the shape of the mould
  4. Once the layers are completed and the food ring is filled, refrigerate for at least 20 minutes to allow the food to set inside the food ring
  5. After refrigerating, remove the stack from the mould by sliding the food ring onto a serving plate and carefully pressing down on the layers, to force them out of the mould and onto the plate
  6. Finish the salad off with some Basil Pesto and Fresh Basil leaves for garnish
