
Pallet workstation
In this week’s episode of Get It Done, Peter and Annalien show you how to build a workstation using pallets.
You will need:

Easy drill 12 volt10.8 volt cordless drill driver | Pine 20mm PAR (Check Workshop) |
Compound Mitre Saw | Top shelf 1300 mm x 120mm – 1 piece |
Sabre Saw plus pallet blade | Work top 1300 x 228mm – 1 piece |
PFS 200 spray gun | Wall shelves – off cuts |
PST 18 Jigsaw | Wood glue |
Pof 1400 Router | 4 x 40mm screws |
4 x 30 mm screws | |
Clear water-based varnish | |
Paint – various colours for paint effect |
Steps:
Work Station
- Sand and paint Pallet
- Measure and cut top shelf and work top shelf to size
- Make brackets for the work top shelf
- Sand and varnish shelves and brackets
- Attach brackets to Pallet backing
- Attach top shelf and work shelf to the backing
WallShelf
- Cut Pallet into planks
- Cut back slats to size
- Sand individual planks and paint to match work station (or paint and sand for effect)
- Assemble planks and backing slats
- Cut shelves to fit
- Sand and varnish shelves to match work top
- Attach shelves to the back board
