Old-fashioned Lemonade

This is the lemonade that my sister and I used to make when we were little and my children make it now – of course add some limes if you wish but I love the simple lemon and honey flavour.

Makes 750ml (1 1/4 pints)

  • 150g (6ozs) honey
  • 50ml (2fl ozs) water
  • 500ml (18fl ozs) water
  • 4 lemons
  • ice to serve

  1. Place the honey and 50ml (2fl ozs) water in a saucepan and heat up just enough to liquify the honey
  2. Pour into a jug and allow to cool slightly.
  3. Add the water, juice of 4 lemons and serve with ice.
