Mobile Drinks Trolley

In this week’s episode of Get It Done, Peter and Annalien shows you how to build a drinks trolley. Perfect to use outside during the warmer months, or simply as a stylish addition to the entertainment area.

You will need:

Tools Material list
PCM 7 Compound Mitre saw 16mm Supawood (NB must be square)
PST 18 Jigsaw Top 650 mm x 420mm – 1 piece
PSR 18 Cordless drill Top recess 150mm x 420mm – 2 piece
PEX 220 sander Middle shelf and bottom 350 mm x 582mm – 2 pieces
PFS 2000 Spray gun Bottom sides plus shelves 350 mm x 350mm – 6 pieces 
Pof 1400 router Top sides 366mm x 350mm – 2 pieces
Palm router Wine rack insert slats 350mm x 106mm – 6 pieces
IXO plus angle attachment Drawer front 346mm x 94 mm – 1 piece
PTK 14 E stapler plus 12-14mm length staples 6mm supa wood
glue gun Drawer front and back 346mm x 88mm – 2 pieces
  Drawer sides 328mm x 88mm – 2 pieces
  drawer bottom 346 mm x 334 mm – 1 piece
  Door knob – metal – 1 piece
  castor wheels with brakes. +/- 50mm – 4 pieces
  For bottle holders on sides of Drinks Trolley
  Dowel Stick (according to your preferred measurements)
  Rectangular wood to suspend Dowel sticks (x8)
  Generall finishes
  wood glue
  indonesian teak varnish water based – 2 ltr
  dark wood filler 
  3.5 x 35 mm screws
  4 x 12mm screws

Follow these steps

  1. Mark out and drill pilot holes for sides and shelves
  2. Mark off where base and middle shelf fits onto sides
  3. Mark off where sides fit onto the top
  4. Cut shape into top and fit filler pieces underneath
  5. Assemble sides onto shelves and base
  6. Fit the top
  7. Take wine rack – attach shelves to dividers
  8. Takes the drawers, assemble sides, base and front
  9. Sand and varnish
  10. Make bottle holders- glue and screw onto sides
  11. Attach wheels
