Mini Manhattan Burgers

Mini Manhattan Burgers with Cajun Potato Wedges


For the Burgers

  • Fresh Cocktail Rolls
  • 200g Beef Mince
  • 200g Pork Mince
  • 2 Cloves Crushed Garlic
  • 1 Onion grated
  • 1 egg
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Teriyaki Sauce
  • Fresh Mint
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato

For the Potato Wedges

  • Cajun Spice
  • Potatoes
  • Olive Oil

For the Dressing

  • Mayonnaise
  • Basil Pesto (bought or home made)


  1. Slice the potatoes into thick wedeges
  2. Drizzle with Olive Oil
  3. Sprinkle with Cajun spices
  4. Bake in a 180 degree oven for 45 minutes until golden and crispy
  5. Combine the beef and pork mince
  6. Add the grated onion and crushed garlic
  7. Add the egg, teriyaki sauce and enough breadcrumbs to bind the mixture (about a handful)
  8. Finely chop the mint, and add to the mixture
  9. Season with salt and pepper
  10. Form the burgers into small patties (to fit into the cocktail burgers)
  11. Fry in a hot griddle pan (about 3 – 4 minutes on each side)
  12. Mix a few tablespoons of pesto with some mayonnaise to taste
  13. Build the burgers with a piece of lettuce, and slice of tomato
  14. Add a teaspoon of sauce on top of the burger patty
