Lemon Cordial
Ingredients:
- 500ml
Lemon Juice
- 500ml
Water
- 1 Cup
Sugar
- Optional:
Rosemary, Mint, Lemon Verbena, Ginger
Method:
- Start by
squeezing enough lemons to make 500ml of lemon juice (7-10 lemons)
- Add a
cup of sugar to 500ml of boiling water and stir until the sugar is dissolved
- At this
stage you can add your optional flavour (Rosemary, Mint, etc.)
- Add
500ml of lemon juice to the boiling water
- Once the
lemon cordial reaches boiling point, turn off the heat and let it cool down a
bit
- Pour the
lemon cordial through a sieve and decant into a sterilised bottle
- Dilute 1
part cordial with 3 parts water
