Israeli Couscous

Serves – 4


  • 250ml (1 cup) Israeli couscous
  • 10ml (2 tsp) oil
  • 500ml (2 cups) water
  • 2.5ml (½ tsp) salt


  1. Place the couscous in a large pot with the oil. Sauté on medium-high heat for a few minutes until the couscous is toasted.
  2. Add the water and bring to a boil. Simmer for about 15-20 minutes or until the couscous is fluffy. Leave in the pot to steam for a few minutes before serving.
