Crunchy Homemade Fries

  • 8 medium-large (130-150g each) potatoes
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp flaky salt
  • ground black pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 200°C. Line a large, shallow roasting dish with baking paper to allow for easy clean up.
  2. Peel the potatoes and cut into chips or wedges. Transfer to the prepared dish, sprinkle with the flour and toss to evenly combine.
  3. Drizzle the floured potatoes with oil and toss to coat. Spread out into a single layer in the dish and season with salt and pepper. Roast for about 1 hour until golden and crisp.
