PB Banana French Toast with Bacon

Yield:  4 servings.


  • French Toast Batter
  • 4 eggs
  • ½ cup 10% cream
  • 1 ½ cup milk
  • 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • Assembly
    • 8 thick slices of egg bread
    • Butter, for the pan
    • 4 tbsp. peanut butter, for garnishing
    • 4 bananas, sliced, for garnishingPreview
    • Icing sugar, dusting
    • ½ cup chopped toasted peanuts, for garnishing
    • Maple syrup, for drizzling
    • Chocolate sauce, for drizzling
    • Slices of bacon, cooked, for serving (optional)


  1. French Toast Batter
    1. Add eggs, cream, milk, vanilla and sugar to medium bowl. Whisk to combine.
  2. Assembly
  3. Dip bread slices into egg mixture, generously coating each piece.
  4. Heat skillet over medium heat. Melt butter to cover bottom of pan. Add dipped bread to skillet. Cook, until golden brown, about 2 to 3 minutes per side.
  5. Add dollop of peanut butter to French toast. Sprinkle with sliced bananas. Drizzle with maple syrup and chocolate sauce. Dust with icing sugar and sprinkle with peanuts. Serve with bacon, if desired. Makes 8 French toast.
