
Coffee Table
This week Peter and Annalien build a round coffee table with a nautical theme. Peter also gives you various tips on routers and Annalien makes a coffee cup holder so be inspired to build one for yourself.
You will need:

PSR 18 Cordless drill driver | Table top 650 x 650mm – 1 pieces |
PST 18 Jig Saw | Table undertop and bottom shelf 550mm x 550mm – 2 pieces |
PEX 220 Sander | Legs 384 mm x 200mm – 4 pieces |
PFS 5000 Spray gun | 4mm clear glass cut into 400mm circle (edges ground) |
Hoople strip (building type) 2mtr | |
3.5 x 30mm screws | |
wood glue | |
Indonesian Teak varnish | |
Nautical themed paper/material (to decorate inside the glass centre) | |
Spray paint – metallic colour to blend/match Indonesian Teak. | |
Wood filler Imbua (must be dark to match varnish) |
Follow these steps:
- Cut table circle to size
- Cut circle out for glass and router recess
- Cut second tier for the top and bottom shelf,
- Cut out legs
- Attach to bottom tier and insert shelf
- Attach to the table top
- Varnish
- Cut hoople strip to size and spray
- Attach to the table
- Decorate inside circle (with nautical/compass theme)
- Attach glass
