Chicken Kebabs with Red Onion


Chicken Kebabs with Red Onion, Butternut and Peppers on a bed of Spicy Corn


  • Chicken Breasts
  • Red Onion
  • Peppers
  • Frozen Corn
  • Butternut
  • Butter
  • Five spice
  • Chilli
  • Chicken Spices
  • Kebab Sticks


  1. Cut the Chicken Breast into thick chunks, according to your own preference
  2. Season the individual pieces of chicken with an assortment of spices as well as salt and pepper
  3. Cut the red onion, peppers, and butternut into blocks of equal size to the chicken
  4. Place the butternut in a roasting pan with some butter and brown sugar
  5. Roast the butternut in a pre-heated oven (180oC) until soft and golden brown
  6. Assemble the kebabs by skewering the chicken and vegetables onto the skewer – make sure to alternate between different textures and colours to make the kebab more appealing
  7. Heat up a frying pan and melt some butter
  8. Place the kebabs in the sizzling hot pan and allow to cook until the chicken and vegetables are cooked through
  9. Make sure to turn them continuously to prevent burning on one side and being undercooked on the other
  10. Flavour with some extra salt and pepper
  11. Heat up another frying pan and melt some butter
  12. Fry the frozen corn in the pan, with some mixed spices and freshly chopped chillis until the corn is cooked
  13. Serve the Kebabs on a warm bed of chilli corn
