Chicken Burgers with Chutney Sauce

Makes 6


  • 750g minced chicken breasts
  • 45ml soya sauce
  • 8 baby salad onions, chopped
  • 15ml Worcester sauce
  • 15ml balsamic vinegar
  • 30ml BBQ sauce
  • 10ml Ina Paarman Rosemary and Olive seasoning
  • coarse salt and black pepper
  • 6 hamburger buns
  • 6 slices tomatoes
  • 6 lettuce leaves
    • 15ml chutney
    • 60ml mayonnaise
    • 10ml sweet chilli sauce
    • 10ml lemon juice
    • coarse salt and black pepper


  1. Mix all the ingredients together. Shape into 6 large hamburger patties.
  2. Heat a frying pan or grilling pan and drizzle with a drop of olive oil. Cook the patties on each side until browned and cooked through. They will be cooked through when firm to the touch.
  3. Cut the hamburger buns in half and layer with lettuce, tomato and a patty.
  4. For the Sauce
    1. Whisk sauce ingredients together and serve as an accompaniment to the hamburger patties
